ZoneCentral 4.0: Loads of new features

The much awaited version 4.0 for the ZoneCentral, ZoneExpress and Zed products is now available, with loads of new features and improvements. Our constant drive for innovation, alongside listening to what our customers are saying, is the driving force behind the development of this latest version.

Prim'X has improved the products in three main areas: ergonomics, flexibility in configuration and security.
The new ZoneBoard application now offers an option for the simple supervision and management of encrypted spaces: whether on the workstations or the file servers. This means it is now possible to see at a glance the protected locations and those who have a right to access them.
In terms of security, the separation of administrative powers and the right to know some of them, the basic principles behind Prim'X products, has been further improved with the possibility of signing the configuration applied to the workstations, and thus of guaranteeing its integrity.

Making use of the latest technologies is also a priority for Prim'X: this latest version has thus been enabled to make full use of the power offered by 64 bit architectures.

Prim'X protects PDAs and Smartphones

With the launch of ZoneMobile, Prim’X Technologies adds to its encryption suite with an innovative solution for securing sensitive data on PDAs and Smartphones.

Prim’X Technologies, the French provider of encryption solutions, announces the launch of its new encryption offering for PDAs and Smartphones: ZoneMobile. Designed using the same innovative technology as for the ZoneCentral and ZoneExpress solutions, ZoneMobile allows users - in just a few clicks and entirely transparently - to secure the sensitive data on their PDAs and Smartphones. The solution will be available in January 2008 and will be unveiled at the Infosecurity France trade show on 21 and 22 November at the CNIT, Paris La Défense.

ZoneMobile encrypts/decrypts the mobile's sensitive files on-the-fly, including directory of contacts, agenda, emails and all the files kept on the memory card or any additional storage device. ZoneMobile adopts the concepts behind the success of the Prim'X encryption offering: user authentication via password or certificate, transparency for the user, certificate on smartcard, data recovery by the company.

ZoneMobile also comes with an email encryption/decryption function. This allows users to consult their encrypted messages either on their PDA or on a laptop with the Prim’X security solution installed.

"Our proprietary FSRd technology is the cornerstone of the solutions proposed by Prim’X Technologies. It allows us to encrypt data on-the-fly and entirely transparently for the user, since it is integrated in the Windows kernel," explains Serge Binet, General Manager of Prim'X Technologies. "The fact that we are part of the Microsoft IDEAS program means that we can develop programs that are entirely integrated in the new Microsoft platforms, which remain the most commonly used platforms for industry, whether for desktops, laptops, servers or mobiles."

ZoneMobile runs under WindowsMobile 5 and 6 and is based on the same model as the ZoneCentral and ZoneExpress solutions. Thanks to the proprietary technology developed by Prim'X Technologies, users can encrypt all or part of their PDA and Smartphone data, creating encrypted zones for sensitive data and clear zones for non-sensitive files.

The technology developed by Prim'X embodies the new generation of encryption solutions, with the transition from a fixed technology such as the "strongbox" or "boot encryption" to a powerful and flexible technology that is entirely transparent and free of constraints for users.

ZoneMobile will be available through the Prim’X Technologies partners network as from January 2008 and the solution will be unveiled at the Infosecurity France trade show on 21 and 22 Novembre 2007 on the Prim’X Technologies stand(stand B20).

Infosecurity Paris CNIT La Défense - Prim'X exhibits its new products

The Infosecurity Fair held in Paris (CNIT La Défense) on the 21st et 22nd November.

This event is a new occasion for Prim'X Technologies to show its range of software solutions for the corporate data protection by encryption.

Some new products showed answer the mobile data securisation needs with for instance data encryption on PDA & Smartphones. The Prim'X R&D team developed a new product (Prim'X protected technology) for the encryption of mobile devices. The results are a better protection of the data on mobile devices in full transparency for the user as usual in Prim'X Product.

With ZoneMobile, the codename of this new product, devices are protected against data lose or robery. Prim'X makes your mobile devices confidence zones that can evolve in hostile environment without risk to the company.
